The Rochester’s Mayo Clinic campus is ranked first in the world according to a high-profile 2018 ranking.
This marks the first time in the ranking’s near-30 year history that Mayo has earned top honors three years in a row.
The hospital also finished first in six specialties:
This is more than any other hospital in the country.
Cleveland Clinic finished second this year followed by Johns Hopkins and Mass General.
The rankings are based on various factors, including mortality index, patient services, and reputation.
Outgoing President and C-E-O Dr. John Noseworthy said the clinic is "humbled and honored" by the ranking and added that Mayo Clinic is "different."
