A new inflatable, floating water park in Rochester is about to be deflated for the year.
This was the first summer that Caleb Owens operated the attraction at Foster Arend Park.
The park has about a dozen interconnected activities, like swings, slides, and trampolines.
He says it was pretty rainy when the park opened at the start of summer, but overall he saw a good turnout as word spread.
Based on this year’s success, Owens says he hopes to operate the park again next summer and keep making improvements.
"I’d say that all the kids are super excited super stoked to have this close to home," Owens said. "And the general reaction from the parents are, ‘man, that’s exhausting, but fun.’"
Owens will present some end-of-year data to the Rochester Park board later this month.
The water park’s last day of the year is Monday, September 3rd.
If the weather cooperates, it’ll be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
