Stolen pickup truck found in cornfield after hitting utility pole

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says a stolen truck was taken on a destructive joyride that ended in a corn field.  

The blue Chevy Silverado was reported stolen around 7 Saturday morning from a driveway off County Road 3 Southwest in Salem Township.

The victim believes it was taken sometime between that morning and 6 o’clock the night before. 

The person who stole the truck hit a utility pole on County Road 17 before driving through a bean field. 

The truck was found, with extensive damage, in a corn field near 10th street and 120th Avenue Southwest.
