It sure was a chilly day overall for our Saturday. Many residents woke up with frost and temperatures in the lower 30s. By the afternoon, temperatures really struggled to warm above the upper 40s and lower 50s with mostly cloudy skies. Tonight, clouds will remain with areas mainly to the south of Rochester seeing a few scattered showers overnight with lows in the lower 40s.
Cloudy skies continue into Sunday with cooler temperatures once again the lower 50s. Our next chance for rain moves in during Sunday’s overnight with more likely chances for showers and thunderstorms on Monday throughout the day. Afternoon highs will once again hover in the low to mid 50s on Monday.
Monday night and Tuesday will see a short break from the rain as high pressure take control for about 24 hours or so. We should manage a little sunshine on Tuesday with partly sunny skies and highs closer to average in the lower 60s. Shower and thunderstorm chances return Tuesday night into Wednesday with afternoon highs warming into the lower 70s.
A cold front is expected to move through heading into Thursday, dropping temperatures back to around 60 degrees. Conditions look dry for the first half of the day with a slight chance for showers late in the day. Showers chances linger into Friday with mostly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 50s.
