Tailgating Tuesdays: Thai-Chili Meatball Sliders

Thai-Chili Meatball Sliders

What you need:
2 lbs. ground pork (unseasoned)
1 TBS Kosher salt
Freshly ground white pepper
2 large eggs
1 1/2 pounds ground pork
1 TBS granulated garlic
¼ tsp ground ginger
2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
2 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons cornstarch

Serving
2 cups of Thai-chili sauce
¼ cup fresh basil
1 cup sliced Almonds
Bibb lettuce or sweet buns for serving
Pre heat smoker to 300 degrees

For the Meatballs
Combine all ingredients into bowl and mix well
Portion into 1.5 oz balls and place in oiled aluminum foil pans close to each other
Pour sauce over top wrap with plastic and wrap and cover with aluminum foil
Place on grill for 20-30 minutes
Uncover and garnish with chopped basil and almonds
Serve Lettuce cups or on the buns
