ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – The largest consumer show of its kind in Southern Minnesota made it’s way to the Med City Friday afternoon.
The Rochester RV and Camping Show is an annual event that allows its visitors to soak in the outdoors, without actually going outdoors.
Besides more than 50 RV units on display, The Rochester RV and Camping Show has everything from pop-up ten campers, travel trailers, fifth wheels, motor homes and camping accessories.
Being life long outdoors-man, husband and wife Kris and Steve Hamel spent Friday afternoon looking for an upgrade for their camper.
Steve says he wants to retire soon. He hopes that he and his wife can travel more and what better way to do that than a home on wheels?
“It would be nice to be in Arizona right now,” Steve joked. “But there are other places in the United States we’d like to travel to as well. We’d love to see them.”
When the Hamels decides to take the plunge on a new RV, they say Alaska is on their travel bucket list.
The Rochester RV and Camping show is free admission and continues Saturday morning at 10 and wraps up Sunday at 4 p.m.
