(KTTC) – MnDOT is warning of two instances of water on major highways in southeastern Minnesota.
The stretch of the Highway 60 just north of Highway 61 at Wabasha is under water. MnDOT blocked the highway at that point with barricades.
MnDOT is also warning of a section of Interstate 35 north of Albert Lea where water is on the roadway. The stretch is between Interstate 90 and Highway 251 in Freeborn County. At last check, that section remains open.
MnDOT wants drivers to be aware of the potential for potential flooding due to melting snow packs and rain in the area.
