ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – A tip from airport police in Minneapolis helped Rochester officers arrest a man on drug sales charges after spotting a package worth nearly $500,000 in meth.
The package was marked from California and was supposed to be delivered to 2926 Fremont Ct. SW.
Rochester officers camped out in the area and waited for someone to pick up the package that contained 10 lbs. of meth worth $470,000.
Around 4 p.m. Tuesday, Michael Shoenfelder, 39, arrived and picked up the drugs. Police arrested him and said he admitted to knowing what was inside.
Shoenfedler faces first degree sales charges. Police said the package was addressed to a fake name.
