Alex Tejada has been with KTTC since April 2019. He is originally from Alabama and has a degree in Mass Communication from the University of Montevallo as well as a degree in International Business from Auburn University.
Alex moved from nearby Mankato, where he worked as a multimedia journalist for KEYC News 12. Prior to his time at KEYC, he interned at WBRC Fox 6 in Birmingham, Alabama and served as play-by-play announcer for Montevallo Falcons athletics. Alex speaks Spanish and often travels across the globe to visit family in several different countries. His ancestor, Sebastian Lerdo de Tejada, was the President of Mexico in the 1870s.
Alex is a huge fan of sports, especially soccer: playing for years, watching leagues from all over the world and supporting Arsenal Football Club. Any time not working or watching sports, he spends keeping up with family and friends back home. Alex enjoys horror movies and hopes to write and direct one of his own one day.
Alex recently experienced his first winter and is still happy to be living in Minnesota.
