PAIIR Tip: Developing social-emotional skills in our kids

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) — This year Rochester Public Schools has made a district wide goal that all children will show progress in their social-emotional skills. At first this may seem to have nothing to do with academic learning. Yet, children with social-emotional skills perform better than their peers in academics and have stronger friendships, less emotional outbursts and are even sick less often.

Ann Eberhard is a parent educator at PAIIR (Parents are Important in Rochester) and joined us on our noon news Thursday with some helpful tips.
