It was a cold, breezy, and at times, a snowy day across southern Minnesota and northern Iowa. Tonight, conditions will be cold and breezy with cloudy skies and lows around 30 degrees. Winds will be out of the west at 10-15 mph with gusts near 30 mph.
Sunday will remain cold and breezy with afternoon highs in the lower 40s and winds out of the west at 10-15 mph. While skies will be dry most of the day, the late afternoon could see a slight chance for a few stray rain showers. High pressure moves into the Midwest on Monday, allowing for dry and slightly warmer temperatures in the upper 40s. Winds will be much lighter with partly sunny skies.
Another low pressure system makes its way into the region for Tuesday with mostly cloudy skies and a chance for a scattered rain showers. Afternoon highs will be in the upper 40s. A break in the precipitation arrives for the weekend with partly sunny skies on Wednesday and Thursday with temperatures in the mid 40s to mid 50s.
Temperatures become more seasonal in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees, just in time for the weekend. Friday could see a slight chance for showers with partly sunny skies on Saturday.
