Authorities identify drivers involved in two-vehicle crash near Dover

NEAR DOVER, Minn. (KTTC) — The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office has released information about a two-vehicle crash that closed a road near Dover on Sunday night.

Deputies were called to the intersection of County Road 10 and County Road 29 Southeast around 6 p.m. on Sunday.

According to the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, 86-year-old Joann Schultz of Chatfield was driving west on County Road 29 in a Ford Taurus.

She came to a stop at a stop sign and then pulled out in front of 43-year-old Emily Walsh of Eyota, who was northbound in Vokswagen Beetle on County Road 10.

The two cars collided and reportedly part of County Road 10 was closed off for about an hour.

Schultz was transported by Saint Charles ambulance with suspected serious injuries. Walsh was trapped and extrication was needed to get her out. She was transported by ambulance with minor injuries.

According to Mayo Clinic, as of writing this story Schultz is in critical condition and Walsh is in good condition.
