ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) — Some of Mayo Clinic’s youngest patients had a very special visitor on Tuesday.
The Minnesota Children’s Museum of Rochester visits the Mayo Children’s Center on the last Tuesday of every month. On Tuesday, they brought along Clifford the Big Red Dog.
Clifford is part of an exhibit at the museum that transports children to “Birdwell Island,” a place all about kindness, collaboration and creative play.
For some of the children, meeting Clifford was a dream come true.
“It’s never easy trying to take your 3-year-old to the hospital,” said Travis Tyson, whose daughter Adelynn met Clifford. “She has to get poked, get her blood drawn. Things like this get to make it easier. She gets to see something she loves. It’s a little overwhelming at first, definitely makes it easier.”
The visit from Clifford came at a perfect time for Adelynn because she’s dressing up as Clifford for Halloween.
