Snowy Wednesday

After the cold arctic blast of air impacted the area the past several days, we now get a quick-moving clipper system to bring accumulating snowfall on Wednesday.

Forecast:

This clipper system will be in and out of the area during the afternoon and evening on Wednesday. Light snow will begin during the middle of the day on Wednesday, right around the lunch hour. Some bands of moderate snow could be possible, but we’ll mostly see light snow during this event. Snow showers start to wrap up around 6-7 pm with flurries lingering into the overnight hours.

Accumulations:

Accumulations will be minor with this system. Most areas will see around 1″ of snow with some receiving a little more / a little less. If this system begins to stall out over our region we could see accumulations grow, but that doesn’t seem too likely at this time.

Timing / Details:

Start: Around 12 pm. Light snow expected through the afternoon.

End: 6-7 pm (for most for the area). Light snow/flurries could linger through the evening.

Warmer weather coming!:

Warmer weather is finally in sight! Highs by the weekend will be above freezing and then finally reaching the upper 30s nearing the 40° mark by Monday and Tuesday next week! It’s a heatwave!!!
