ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) — Kemps is keeping a close eye on the future of the Associated Milk Producers Inc. facility in Rochester. Last week Friday, AMPI announced it was halting production at that plant and eliminating the 75 jobs there.
Kemps leases space inside the plant for milk processing. A company spokesperson says despite the AMPI shutdown, it’s business as usual for that operation.
Kemps also says it is watching to see what happens with regard a possible sale of the building by AMPI. The spokesperson could not address what Kemps might do next because that would have to be worked out with any new owner.
