Showers are expected overnight Monday into Tuesday. Temperatures will sit just above freezing so the main precipitation type Monday night and Tuesday morning should be rain. There could be slight mixing at times, meaning a rain/snow mix could be possible for a couple of brief moments. Overall, we’ll deal with showers during the early morning hours on Tuesday.
Showers and flurries move out of the area quickly on Tuesday. Skies will stay gloomy with mostly cloudy skies through the afternoon. Highs will be slightly warmer than Monday bumping into the middle and lower 40s. Winds will out of the northwest around 5-10 mph.
Temperatures Tuesday night will be in the lower 30s right around freezing. Quiet conditions are expected into Wednesday. The cloudy skies stick around again on Wednesday with highs in the middle and lower 40s. Winds will be light out of the southeast around 5 mph. Another chance for showers and a light wintry mix is in the forecast for Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
Temperatures should stay right above freezing for most of the night so the main precipitation type will once again be rain. Some slight mixing will be possible if temperatures hit the freezing point. Right now, I think temperatures in Rochester hover just above freezing keep our precipitation type as rain. Which is great news!
Our next chance at sunshine might not come until late this week. Cloudy skies linger into the day on Thursday until we finally get some sunshine on Friday!
