The sunshine we enjoyed all day Monday is back again today, but with some extra warm weather in the area. A weak storm system grazed the region to the north earlier today and behind it, we'll have a slightly more pronounced westerly breeze that will add a slight chill to the air. Otherwise, it looks like a great example of early December weather with high temperatures this afternoon in the low to mid-30s.
High pressure will stick around through Wednesday, bringing sunny, pleasant weather to the region for the midweek and once again high temperatures will be in the mid-30s.
Clouds will drift in for Thursday ahead of a cold front that will move through the area later in the night but will still manage to reach the 30s despite the loss of our midweek sunshine. Behind the front, we'll have to deal with a brief shot of cold air for Friday. High temperatures will only be in the lower 20s Friday afternoon, but warmer air will already begin to work its way in for Friday night.
The weekend looks pretty decent with the prospect of sunshine and high temperatures in the mid and upper 30s for Saturday which would mean temperatures at least five to ten degrees above the seasonal average to start the weekend. Sunday looks little murkier with just a slight chance of sprinkles or flurries as a weak storm system grazes the area to the northeast.
A clipper type storm system will bring a chance for some very light snow next Monday with high temperatures in the 20s and it looks like the cold front associated with that system will swing through the region, unleashing a blast of bitterly cold Arctic air for the middle part of next week.
