ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- A new year marks new beginnings, especially for one Rochester couple — as they gave birth to the first baby of 2020.
"It's such a relief she's here," said proud father Austin Hulsing. "She's healthy, she's just perfect."
Destiny Krampitz and Austin Hulsing are first-time parents with the first birth of the new year. Their precious new daughter is named Rosalie Ann. The couple found out they were pregnant with a baby girl back in May.
Rosalie was supposed to be born on December 27th, but she made her debut at 1:19 a.m. in the new decade.
Mayo Clinic staff gave her a personalized onesie that read: "new year, new me."
Destiny Krampitz describes the moment she first held Rosalie in her arms.
"I was just flooded with happiness and love."
"She just looked at me and started crying and smiling, grabbing my hand, pulling me close," said Hulsing.
Both parents are doing well and say they're looking forward to going home on Friday and getting some rest.
