ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- The Minnesota Wild have returned from their break, confident they can still make the playoffs.
They're in 12th place in the Western Conference, needing to jump four spots.
Their first action in 10 days is against Boston at home on Saturday night.
The Wild have games in hand on most of the teams in front of them, adding to their confidence in a late-season surge.
Players say they like the position they're in, believing the sense of urgency will be heightened down the stretch.
The Wild missed the playoffs last year despite controlling a spot until mid-March.
