UPDATE 5:40 p.m.: The Minnesota State Patrol has identified the people involved in a crash on I-90 Thursday morning that killed two people and seriously injured two others. The State Patrol said Antonio Padillaibarra, 45, of Tulsa, Oklahoma was the driver of the Dodge Ram who was killed in the crash. 18-year-old Eduardo Padilla, also of Tulsa, Oklahoma, also died at the scene.
39-year-old Jose Ivan Lagunasrojas and 18-year-old Jordan Adelaido Ochoafernandez, both of Columbia, Missouri were taken to Mayo Clinic Saint Marys with non-life threatening injuries.
UPDATE 9:30: The State Patrol has released new information about a fatal crash on I-90 near Dexter Thursday morning.
The pickup truck was westbound on I-90 when the driver lost control and went through the median coming to a rest in the eastbound lanes, near mile marker 201.
Authorities said the two people who died in the crash after being ejected from the Dodge Ram were males. One was the driver and one was a passenger in the backseat, the State Patrol said.
The State Patrol said there were two other passengers in the vehicle who suffered serious injuries. Authorities said the two people were transported to Mayo Clinic- St. Marys by Mayo Clinic Ambulance.
Multiple agencies were on scene, including Olmsted County Sheriff's Office, Mower County Sheriff's Department, Grand Meadow Ambulance, Mayo Clinic Ambulance and Mayo One Helicopter.
State Patrol said the names of the people involved will be released once the families have been notified. Authorities said the I-90 eastbound lanes will be closed for an hour or two while a reconstruction of the crash is completed.
UPDATE: According to the Minnesota State Patrol, two people died in the crash Thursday morning.
The State Patrol said there was a vehicle rollover and the two people ejected from the vehicle were killed.
NEAR DEXTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Emergency crews are at the scene of a crash in the eastbound lanes of I-90 east of Dexter. The eastbound lanes were closed to all traffic expect emergency vehicles.
Multiple ambulance crews have been called to the scene. Mayo One was at the scene. The crash happened sometime around 7 a.m. As of 8 a.m., of the eastbound lanes is open to traffic.
Vehicles are currently backed up for miles.
