Dangerously cold temperatures tonight

A "Wind Chill Advisory" is in effect for all of southeast Minnesota and most of northeast Iowa until 10 a.m Friday. Wind chills will be around 20-30 degrees below zero overnight and early Friday morning.

A "Wind Chill Warning" is in effect for Cerro Gordo, Worth, Winnebago, and Hancock Counties until 10 a.m Friday. Wind chills in these counties could reach near 35-40 degrees below zero.

Wind Chill Forecast - Friday:

Temperatures early Friday morning will be around 10-15 degrees below zero with wind chills near 25-30 degrees below zero. Temperatures will be warming through the afternoon. Highs will be in the middle and lower teens with partly sunny skies.

Warmer temperatures are expected for the weekend. Highs on Saturday will be in the lower 30s with partly sunny skies. Light snow will possible late Saturday night and late Sunday into Monday. Accumulations are expected to be minor this weekend.
