ORONOCO, Minn. (KTTC)-- On Sunday afternoon a driver lost control of his car and crashed.
"I was just driving into town to get the car washed." But their day took a turn for the worse, said the driver.
The driver, who did not want to be identified was running an errand with his daughter.
"Coming around the corner hit the gravel, and couldn't correct it fast enough to stay out of the ditch," he said.
In the process, he said he hit a telephone pole or a powerline pole.
The crash happened around 1:30 pm. Olmsted County Sheriff Office was on the scene and blocked the road from incoming traffic. Crews were also monitoring the wires that were down.
"The sun was in our eyes a little bit. Ya know, that was about it. I just a hit the gravel, wasn't really nothing to do with the pavement, I just kinda had to go off the road, I had no choice," the driver said.
On the bright side, they both were not injured.
"Yeah everything was good. Walked away," he said.
The extent of the damage is unknown.
