ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- A Rochester restaurant announced it will be temporarily closing its doors amid the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing construction in the area.
Cameo at the Castle announced that Saturday will be its last day of service until construction season and the impact of COVID-19 have both subsided.
"COVID-19 coupled with ongoing construction all around the restaurant have made it impossible to be economically viable," the restaurant said in a Facebook post.
Cameo is the latest of several businesses in Rochester to close for these same reasons. Downtown Rochester businesses The Loop and Primp Boutique announced on Tuesday that they would be closing there doors as well.
Cameo said it will operate in a limited capacity through off-site events and offer some private chef dinners.
"We look towards the future and hope to be able to open our doors again as soon as possible," the restaurant said. "The amount of closures happening in Rochester and downtown specifically has been so hard on a lot of people. Small businesses need the support now more than ever."
