Most of SE MN and NE Iowa escaped this past weekend without significant rainfall totals. We are looking at abnormally dry conditions across the area, but that could change later this week.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Rain chances this week won't be extremely widespread early on in the week. Our best chance for widespread rain activity will come later in the week. We're looking at Thursday into Friday being the best chance for widespread showers and thunderstorms.
A couple of spotty showers will be possible Wednesday afternoon, but I'm not anticipating widespread rain Wednesday afternoon. Strong storms don't seem to pose a threat this week either, which is good news! Isolated showers will be possible Saturday morning with clearing conditions through the rest of the weekend.
High temperatures this week will stay steady in the middle and lower 80s for SE MN and NE IA. Temperatures will take a dip into the 70s by Sunday and we could see that trend continues into early next week with forecast highs on Monday in the lower 70s.
Have a great week!
