DEXTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Fire crews were at the scene of a barn fire in Dexter on Monday morning.
The barn was located in the 28000 block of 760th Avenue. The fire happened around 5:15 a.m.
Mower County deputies reportedly responded to the scene and saw that the barn was engulfed. According to the Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Dexter and Brownsdale Fire Departments put the fire out. There were no injuries and the barn did not contain animals, authorities said.
There is no estimate of damage at this time, but authorities said the structure was a total loss.
The Sheriff's Office said it is suspected the fire was caused by a lightning strike.
