Vehicle catches fire on Highway 52 near Oronoco

UPDATE 10:20 a.m.: The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office has provided more details about the crash.

According to Capt. Scott Behrns, a 39-year-old woman was southbound in the 9500 Block of Highway 52 when she struck a deer in the roadway. When she pulled over, the vehicle caught on fire.

Behrns said no injuries were reported. The final report will be available on Monday.


NEAR ORONOCO, Minn. (KTTC) -- Emergency crews were on the scene of a vehicle fire on Highway 52 on Wednesday morning.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. on the southbound side of the highway.

Our KTTC traffic cam caught footage of the vehicle in flames.

No word on any injuries or on what led up to the fire.
