The 50s and even 60s could be possible next week

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

We are counting down the days until Spring officially starts on March 20th. However, it's already feeling like Spring across SE Minnesota and Ne Iowa. We're now 16 days away from Spring and I want to take a look at the average dates when Rochester first reaches 50, 60, 70, and 80-degrees.

On average, Rochester has its first 50° by March 10th with the first 60° day following later in the month on the 28th. The average first 70° day doesn't happen until April 13th and the first 80° day in early May. It does look like we have a good chance at reaching the 50s by Sunday and maybe the 60s in some spots early next week!

Temperatures Friday and Saturday will be in the middle 40s with mostly sunny skies. Stronger winds are expected Sunday and Monday which could lead to warmer temperatures. Highs are expected in the middle and lower 50s both Sunday and Monday. Some areas south of I-90 could reach into the lower 60s both Monday and Tuesday!

Our next weather-maker will move across the area during the middle of next week. Current guidance has the region in the "warm sector" of the weather-maker meaning we're tracking rain chances for next Tuesday through Wednesday night. Temperatures will dip back into the upper 30s and lower 40s by next Thursday.
