Isolated and scattered storms are likely over the next 48-72 hours. Rain chances come into the forecast overnight Tuesday into early Wednesday morning. On and off showers/storms will be likely through the day on Wednesday. The best chance for widespread rain and moderate-to-heavy rainfall will be Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Isolated showers/storms will be possible throughout the day on Thursday.
With this low-pressure system moving across the region, showers and storms will stay broken and isolated through Friday night into Saturday morning. The heaviest rainfall amounts appear to be well north of I-90 nearing the Minneapolis area. Rainfall amounts locally will be around 0.50-1" with some isolated areas reaching near 1.25-1.50" of rain.
There will be periods of dry weather over the next four days. We're not looking at a consistent rainfall over the next 72-hours. This low-pressure will linger into Saturday morning and then we should dry conditions out Saturday night into Sunday. Highs drop back to the upper 50s by the weekend.
