BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn. (KTTC) - The MSHSL no longer requires athletes to wear masks when they are actively engaged in outdoor competition or practice.
This change is in line with updated guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health. Masks are still required to be worn by athletes when they are not competing or practicing.
This new policy goes into effect today.
Indoor sport athletes are still required to wear masks for both practices and competition.
Coaches, spectators, and officials are all still required to wear a face covering at both indoor and outdoor events.
