Light to moderate showers will impact the region Wednesday night into early Thursday morning. Showers will spread across SE Minnesota and NE Iowa through the evening on Wednesday and linger into the early morning hours Thursday. Rainfall accumulations for most areas should stay around 0-0.20". Some isolated areas could get just over a quarter of an inch depending on where the moderate pockets of rain will be.
Skies will clear early Thursday morning. Showers shouldn't impact the morning commute Thursday. Winds will still be slightly breezy out of the northwest around 5-15 mph. High temperatures Thursday will range from the upper 50s to the lower 60s with mostly sunny skies.
Rain chances will be extremely limited moving forward. I'm keeping a very isolated chance for a shower Saturday night into Sunday but that's about it for rain chances after Wednesday. We should be able to stay mostly dry for Mother's Day weekend! Highs will stay in the upper 50s and lower 60s Saturday and Sunday. High temperatures next week will be fairly similar in the lower 60s.
