Cold temperatures are likely Friday into Saturday. Overnight lows will drop into the middle and lower 30s due to clear skies and light winds.
A "Frost Advisory" will be in effect until 8 a.m Saturday morning for areas in blue above. If you have outdoor plants that are sensitive to the cold, you should try to cover them or bring potted plants inside Friday night. Temperatures could get near freezing, so a light freeze could be possible in some areas.
Frost doesn't appear to be likely Saturday into Sunday due to cloudy skies and the chance of isolated showers. Sunday night though is a different story. Skies should clear enough with calming winds for patchy frost to form. Overnight lows Monday into Tuesday will be in the middle and upper 30s too!
Rain chances are in the forecast Saturday night into early Sunday morning. Isolated showers are possible after 5 p.m. Saturday. The bulk of the rainfall should stay to the south of I-90 during the evening with light showers being possible for the Rochester metro.
We will see some sunshine through the morning and early afternoon Saturday. Highs will be in the middle and upper 50s with increasing clouds ahead of the next weather-maker. Showers should linger into Sunday too long with clearing skies through the afternoon and evening. Highs on Sunday will be in the middle and upper 50s.
