Two injured in NW Rochester crash

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- On Wednesday, a crash shut down lanes of traffic on Valleyhigh Drive NW.

The Rochester Police Department says a waste disposal truck collided with a maroon Toyota sedan at 4:20 p.m. at the intersection with 30th Avenue NW.

Two people in the sedan were taken to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Many Rochester residents received an emergency phone alert saying to avoid the area while police investigated and cleared the scene.

All lanes of traffic reopened at 7 o'clock.

The investigation of what lead to the crash is ongoing.
