ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Mayo Clinic has announced plans to light the Plummer Building to observe Juneteenth.
On Saturday, June 19, at dusk, the Plummer Building in Rochester will be illuminated in red, black and green, according to a news release from Mayo Clinic on Friday.
President Joe Biden signed legislation on Thursday establishing Juneteenth as a federal holiday. Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States.
Mayo Clinic is also planning to light facilities in Arizona, Florida, La Crosse and buildings in Owatonna and Faribault on Saturday at dusk.
