Nikki Naik

Nikki Naik joined the team as Social Media and Digital Content Manager for KTTC TV and FOX 47 in July 2018. Nikki graduated from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism in May 2018 with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication with a concentration in content and audience engagement. She also received a certificate in International Studies. Nikki is an avid lover for social media and a firm believer that online media is the “now” of storytelling.

Nikki worked for two years with ASU Marketing as a Social Media Specialist for the university’s cultural organizations. The job required her to create content for social media platforms and provide social media analytic reports for ASU Marketing. Nikki was also a Social Media Specialist for Cronkite News, the university’s official news station and the Arizona PBS station. Her passion for digital media analytics developed here where she conducted various A/B experiments to test audience engagement and wrote weekly reports providing growth strategies for newsroom content. Nikki received a unique opportunity to work on the Final Four Social Hub for the NCAA when the Final Four was hosted in Phoenix in 2017. She was required to create video and photo content of athletes and the FanFest events that were posted on the Final Four Twitter and Instagram accounts.

Nikki also interned at Phoenix’s CBS station (KTVK/KPHO) as their Digital Desk Intern, Rose+Mose+Allyn Public and Online Relations in Scottsdale, AZ, and ABC affiliate WATE-TV in Knoxville, TN.

Apart from her time as a Social Media Specialist, Nikki spent much of her time in college as captain of ASU Andaaz, the university’s competitive Bollywood fusion dance team, and was heavily involved in a nonprofit called Desi Dance Network, Inc. There, she was able to expand her creativity outside of school by managing the groups’ social media platforms and creating social content.
