Solar power may be the future for Minnesota

SAINT PAUL, Minn (KTTC) – Solar, wind and storage is the future of of Minnesota’s Electric needs.. according to a new report.

Minnesota Solar Pathways released a report Thursday, November 15 saying that Minnesota can produce 10% of its electricity from solar power by 2025 and 70% from solar and wind by 2050 at costs comparable to natural gas.

A main component in reaching these goals is energy storage, the report shows being able to store wind and solar power can expand the dispatch capabilities of solar and wind power.
