ST.PAUL, Minn. (KTTC) – There’s an effort underway to name an official dog breed of Minnesota.

Labrador Retriever owners may be fans of a bill getting introduced Tuesday at a St. Paul news conference.

The bill would make labs the state’s official dog breed, while helping raise awareness for the great work of service dogs.

Ron Schara and his dog, Raven, will be in attendance to promote the bill. The two are longtime hosts of TV show “Minnesota Bound.”
