Man thrown from snowmobile in crash near Adams

NEAR ADAMS, Minn. (KTTC) — A man from rural Austin was hurt over the weekend in a snowmobile crash.

Mower County Chief Deputy Mark May said it happened Saturday afternoon about 4 p.m. in the 16-thousand block of 675th Avenue northeast of Adams.  Timothy Staver, 33, was thrown off his machine after hitting a drift, or something on the snowmobile trail.

Staver suffered a possible broken arm and back injuries.  May said he was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System-Austin by Adams Ambulance.
