MnDOT reopens eastbound I- 90 between Albert Lea and Highway 52 south of Rochester and Albert Lea

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) –  The Minnesota Department of Transportation has reopened eastbound Interstate 90 between Albert Lea and Highway 52 south of Rochester and Albert Lea.

Westbound I-90 remains closed between Highway 52 and Dexter due to snow drifts and icy conditions.

Motorists traveling on I-90, as well as many roadways in southeast Minnesota, should expect to use caution and reduce speeds due to rough and icy road conditions.

Northbound lanes of Interstate 35 between Albert Lea and Owatonna is also re-opened. However, southbound I-35 remains closed at this time.

Additionally, southbound I-35 south of Interstate 90 at Albert Lea is open to Iowa. MnDOT will have to temporarily close that portion of southbound I-35 in the coming hours because a vehicle will be removed further along the route in Iowa.
