Bus stuck in a ditch on 65th St. NE, another bus perpendicular on a road in SW Rochester

NEAR ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – A bus was stuck in a ditch on 65th St. NE near N. Broadway Ave. Wednesday morning.

According to a viewer, a semi tow truck was working on pulling the bus out around 8:10 a.m.

A First Bus representative told KTTC that a couple of kids were reportedly on board during the accident, but no one, including the driver, was hurt.

The representative claims that the township roads had not been properly treated.

It is unknown which school the bus was headed to.

No one was on scene when KTTC crews arrived.

In Southwest Rochester, a jackknifed bus was also reported Wednesday morning.

KTTC crews were on scene and saw that a bus was perpendicular to the road on 25th St. SW and W. Frontage Rd., just off of Broadway Ave.

A bus was driving on a hill on 25th St. and spotted two-car crash ahead.

In efforts to avoid the crash, the bus swerved right on an icy road and went into a snow bank.

About a dozen kids were on the bus at the time, but no one was injured.

Rochester Police responded to the scene and other buses also arrived as backup. It is unknown what school they were headed to.
