ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) –  Fans of NBC’s “American Ninja Warrior” might want to keep an eye out this summer for some familiar faces on the show.

Three competitors from Rochester are set to compete on the upcoming season.

Greg Hanson will be competing in the Cincinnati qualifiers.

It’s his first time on the show.

Candace Granberg is scheduled to take on the course in the Tacoma episode.

This is her second time.

Roo Yori takes on the course in Atlanta, in his fourth appearance on the show.

They’ve been training at J.E.T.S. Gymnastics in Rochester, and at other “ninja” facilities in the Twin Cities.

They say the actual competition is another challenge altogether.

“I think it’s very different being there versus watching on TV,” Granberg said. “It looks hard on TV, it’s even more challenging in person because it’s dark, and there’s water and there’s lights and there’s cameras flying around your face and people yelling at you, and it’s really exciting and energizing so I think adrenaline carries you through most of the fear aspect and then you just have fun.”

Season 11 premieres Wednesday, June 5th at 7 p.m.

First up are the Atlanta city qualifiers, which is where Yori competes.
