American Business Women’s Association recognizes women of the year

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) –  Professional women in Southeast Minnesota are celebrating their achievements.

The Rochester Charter Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association hosted its annual awards banquet at the International Event Center Monday evening.

The annual Business Associate of the Year went to Hunt’s Silver Lake Drug.

Next, the Protege Award, which goes to a relatively new member of the group, went to Julie Shirley, the Vice President of Enterprise Alliances.

Finally, the Woman of the Year award is given each year to a member who has served as a chapter officer and has made significant impacts in business and in the community.

This year’s recipient is Erin Dietz, the owner of BodyWise Massage in Byron.

“While we focus on growing ourselves professionally and personally, we also focus on serving our community in different ways, being involved,” said Dietz. “We raise money for scholarships, outright grants, and other educational efforts for women in our community.”

Erin Schwab from FOX’s The Jason Show served as the guest speaker and entertainer.

There are about 50 members of the Rochester chapter.

The group meets once a month.
