The third phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes to a close tonight as “Avengers: Endgame” premieres across the country.

This franchise of movies has captured the hearts of passionate fans as they anticipate how it will all draw to a close. Fans have been waiting more than ten years for this premiere.

The AMC Theaters website crashed when tickets were first made available for pre-sale earlier this month.

The film has already made $120 million from pre-sales alone and is expected to reach $300 million from opening day.

It is also a hit with critics, with a 96 score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Being shown in 4,600 theaters across the country, “Avengers: Endgame” becomes the widest release for any film in history.

At three hours, it is the longest film in the series.

Premiers in Rochester began at 6 p.m. and most theaters have a showing every half hour tonight.
