PRESTON, Minn. (KTTC) — The fight against cancer continues for Glenda Scrabeck and the Preston community is showing they have her back.

Several events helped raise money to cover Glenda’s medical bills. Bowling, basketball, and pool were the tournaments of choice, with people meeting at “B and B Olympic Bowl Restaurant and Lounge” in Preston.

Glenda was first diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in 2009, since then she’s diagnosed with three other forms of cancer.

Due to the cancer making her bones fragile, Glenda wasn’t able to bowl, but says seeing everyone in attendance makes her feel better about her fight.

“This means so much to me, I just can’t express how much. The communities came behind and they rallied behind me and I wanted them to enjoy life today, not to think about anything else, just enjoy life. On this journey a lot of people helped me to see that keep fighting, you know, it’s worth it,” said Scrabeck.

Glenda says a lot of the thanks goes out to her brother and niece who help take care of her and make sure she gets to her appointments.
