Zumbrota-Mazeppa referendum fails

ZUMBROTA, Minn. (KTTC) – Voters in the Zumbrota-Mazeppa Public School District decided against a nearly $50 million dollar bond referendum Tuesday.

Vote tally:

YES: 983
NO: 1159

The referendum planned to upgrade old buildings in the district and add money to be used for better security and more classroom space.

The average home in the district valued at $190,000 would have seen a $37/month tax increase.
