Non-profit looks for “compassionate” workers during a tough time to hire

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Unemployment rates remain extremely low across our region. That’s a problem for employers, especially non-profits.

Hiawatha Homes hosts a hiring event Thursday to showcase what its leaders call “meaningful employment opportunities.” The group works to better the lives of Rochester residents living with disabilities.

Thursday’s open house will include ability awareness activities and plenty of information on what Hiawatha Homes does. Jobs are available starting at age 17.

Check it out from 1 to 5  p.m. at their office located at 2600 North Broadway Avenue.
