ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Hundreds of students at Rochester Community and Technical College are receiving their degrees Thursday evening after lots of hard work.
The college’s 103rd commencement ceremony recognized 840 students at the RCTC Field House.
RCTC’s Student President, Drew Brinker, is a participant in the Post Secondary Enrollment Options Program, which means he took high school and college courses at the same time.
He graduated with an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts in Science.
He plans to attend the University of Minnesota Twin Cities to double major in Political Science and French Studies with a minor in Russian Studies.
“It’s been such a privilege to enrich my education in a place that really supported me from the moment I stepped foot in the door to today, walking across the stage, I felt nothing but encouragement from the faculty, staff and administration,” Brinker said.
This year’s keynote speaker was Armin Budimlic, Executive Director of the Intercultural Mutual Assistance Association.
He’s a graduate of RCTC’s Business Administration program.
