ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Rochester Police Department officers gathered at Pasquale’s Neighborhood Pizza to recognize a child from Kimball as an honorary officer.

Eight-year-old Coltin Kenning, who has been diagnosed with 41 different health conditions and has had 17 brain surgeries, was surprised to see the room full of officers.

Kenning is a big supporter of law enforcement and even showed up wearing his own police outfit.

Rochester Police Chief Jim Franklin and Mayor Kim Norton were there to swear in Kenning as an honorary member of RPD. He was given his own badge, along with other mementos by city officials.

Along with his mother, Kenning also enjoyed pizza with the mayor and police officers after the ceremony.
