Driver and passenger injured in chicken semi rollover

FAYETTE COUNTY, Iowa (KWWL) – Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a semi rollover on Highway 18 around 2 a.m. Tuesday.

Deputies say Tony Raske, 44, was driving a semi full of 5,000 chickens. Raske, lost control of the semi, causing it to go into the ditch.

Raske and a child passenger suffered minor injuries. Raske was cited for failure to maintain control.

Deputies say nearly half of the chickens were killed.
