Man arrested near Stewartville home, later released

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Rochester Police arrested a man on a warrant with the Violent Crimes Task Force in Stewartville Wednesday afternoon.

Shondel Hill, 35, was arrested around 3:30 p.m. after leaving a home on the 400 block of South Main St.

A woman who was driving the car was arrested on a felony warrant.

Two children under five years old were in the also vehicle at the time of the arrest.

When police arrived to the Adult Detention Center, they reportedly found just under four grams of cocaine in eight separate bags and nine grams of marijuana inside Hill’s underwear.

Police also said they found white residue on dishes and a digital scale inside the home.

Hill was released at 1:21 p.m. Thursday. It is unclear whether charges will be pursued.
