Minnesotan $21.6 million lottery winner comes forward

ROSEVILLE, Minn. (KTTC) — Jeffrey Love called in late to work on Wednesday, the day he won $21.6 million in the Minnesota State Lottery. After reading his winning ticket, he said he wouldn’t be in at all.

“I drive by the lottery office every day on my way to work and always say, ‘one day, one day,'” Love reportedly said to the Minnesota State Lottery.

MSL said Love’s ticket matched all five winning numbers, and the Star Ball drawn on July 10. Love said he asked his wife to confirm the numbers because he couldn’t believe his eyes.

This will be Minnesota’s second Lotto America jackpot win, MSL said. Lotto America reports that the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 25,989,600.
